In a stern address on Wednesday, August 7, the Nigerian government warned of serious consequences for any foreign nation found interfering in the #EndBadGovernance protests.
Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, Nigeria's Minister of Foreign Affairs, emphasized this point while speaking to the Diplomatic Corps in Abuja. Tuggar stressed that, despite ongoing governmental reforms aimed at tackling Nigeria's challenges, foreign meddling would not be tolerated.
"No nation tolerates foreign interference in its domestic affairs, and Nigeria is no exception," Tuggar declared. He warned that any foreign entities in Nigeria found supporting the protests or interfering with internal affairs would face appropriate action.
The minister also highlighted Nigeria's commitment to maintaining strong international relationships, urging for continued understanding and cooperation in addressing the nation's economic difficulties.
