JAMB Releases 2025 Mock UTME Results, Over 115,000 Candidates Receive Scores

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which was held on Thursday, April 10, 2025.

In a statement issued on Sunday by JAMB's spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the board announced that candidates can now access their results by sending “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to either 55019 or 66019 using the mobile number used during registration.

According to the board, the mock UTME is not mandatory. It is designed to test the board’s latest technological innovations ahead of the main UTME, while also offering candidates a practical opportunity to get familiar with the computer-based test (CBT) environment.

“A total of 200,115 candidates initially expressed interest in participating; however, two candidates later withdrew, resulting in 200,113 registered candidates,” the statement read.

Of those registered, 73,844 candidates were absent on the examination day, and 88 others were unable to sit for the test due to failure in biometric verification. As a result, 126,181 candidates successfully took the examination.

Out of the total who sat for the exam, results for 115,735 candidates have been processed and are now available, while results for the remaining 10,446 candidates are still undergoing processing and will be released shortly.

JAMB also acknowledged the delays and technical challenges faced by some candidates during the exercise, expressing regret over the inconvenience. The board attributed the disruptions to the introduction of new features aimed at enhancing the forthcoming main UTME.

"The mock examination serves as a trial version of the UTME, allowing the Board to test new innovations while helping candidates familiarise themselves with the CBT environment," the statement added.

JAMB encouraged candidates and stakeholders to continue supporting its initiatives, emphasizing that the mock UTME remains a critical tool for improving the overall examination process and ensuring a smoother experience during the actual UTME.
