Governor Alia Appoints Denen Aondoakaa to Lead Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs

 In a move aimed at strengthening governance structures, Governor Hyacinth Alia has approved the appointment of Mr. Denen Aondoakaa to head the Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
 This development follows the Governor’s effort to optimize leadership within the state's administrative machinery.

In addition to this appointment, Dr. Denis Akura has been reassigned to a higher capacity, where he will now advise the Governor on Financial and Economic Strategy, Planning, and Development.

Mr. Aondoakaa, who previously served as the Principal Special Assistant (PSA) to the Governor, was responsible for leading the Delivery Unit.

 He is well-equipped for his new role, holding a B.Sc. in Economics and an MBA in Finance. Mr. Aondoakaa has an impressive background, having served as Head of Revenue Optimization at the JED Makurdi Regional Office, Technical Advisor at BIRS, and Branch Operational Manager at Fidelity.

Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Benue State the new appointments, which take immediate effect, are expected to bring about enhanced local governance, strategic planning, and reforms within Benue State.
