Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), exercised his franchise earlier today during the ongoing Ondo State governorship election.
Akingboye cast his vote at a polling unit in Okitipupa, Ondo State, where he interacted briefly with journalists and expressed optimism about his chances of winning.
The SDP candidate emphasized his commitment to delivering transformative governance if elected.
“I believe Ondo State is ready for a new chapter, and SDP represents the change the people deserve,” Akingboye said after voting.
The election has so far witnessed a peaceful turnout in most areas, with voters expressing determination to have their voices heard. Security personnel are maintaining a visible presence across polling units to ensure a hitch-free process.
As the race intensifies, all eyes are on Akingboye and other candidates vying for the governorship seat, with results expected in the coming days.
