Bobrisky Jets Out of Nigeria in First Class After EFCC Drama, 'Raise the Bar for This Girl!' He Boasts

Controversial Nigerian cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has reportedly left Nigeria, marking his departure with a luxurious first-class ticket just days after his release from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The social media sensation, who was embroiled in a series of legal issues, took to Instagram early Monday to share the news, leaving his destination a mystery.

In a series of videos posted to his Instagram story, Bobrisky made sure fans knew the high cost of his trip. “See you soon, Nigeria. This girl bought a first-class ticket three times; that’s over 30 million. Raise the bar for this girl,” he boasted, hinting at his unapologetic stance despite recent controversies.

Bobrisky’s quick departure follows a turbulent few days that saw him detained, questioned, and allegedly injured. On Thursday night, he was removed from an Amsterdam-bound KLM flight at Lagos' Murtala Muhammed International Airport, reportedly en route to London. The removal reportedly led to an altercation in which he claims he sustained injuries, prompting a social media update to alert his followers.

After the airport incident, Bobrisky was escorted to EFCC headquarters in Abuja, where he was reportedly questioned about allegations of bribery, specifically the claim that he paid officials ₦15 million to have money laundering charges against him dropped. He was released on bail on Saturday, reportedly denying the bribery allegations in a statement made at the EFCC.

The trouble with authorities dates back to April 2024, when Bobrisky was sentenced to six months in prison for “naira abuse.” Initially serving time at Kirikiri Prison, he reportedly stayed only three weeks before being transferred to a private location, details of which remain undisclosed.

In September, Bobrisky’s name made headlines again when social media influencer Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, released an audio recording allegedly featuring Bobrisky discussing plans to bribe EFCC officials to drop charges against him.

Now, with his recent flight out of Nigeria, Bobrisky appears eager to leave his legal woes behind, at least for now. Whether he’s bound for a new destination or merely taking a short respite, his latest move has left followers both intrigued and divided. As his legal troubles remain unresolved, the question lingers: Is Bobrisky gone for good, or is this just another act in the ongoing drama?
