APC Chieftain Warns: "Tinubu Being Led Toward Political Suicide"

A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has raised alarm over what he describes as a series of politically damaging decisions surrounding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
The unnamed party stalwart has expressed concerns that Tinubu may be following a path that could harm his political legacy and the party’s future.

The chieftain pointed to controversial policies and internal party divisions that have stirred discontent among Nigerians and APC loyalists alike.

Key decisions, including subsidy removal, rising inflation, and perceived mismanagement of political appointments, were cited as factors fueling public dissatisfaction.

“Those advising Tinubu appear to be driving him towards actions that alienate the masses and weaken the APC’s standing.

If he continues on this trajectory, it could be political suicide,” the chieftain reportedly said during a closed-door discussion.

The warning also comes as opposition parties intensify their criticism, seizing on public frustrations to bolster their narratives.

Meanwhile, APC insiders are calling for a strategic rethink to restore public confidence and protect the party’s dominance ahead of future elections.

This development underscores the growing tensions within Nigeria’s ruling party and raises questions about Tinubu's political strategy moving forward.

Will he heed the warnings or press on with his current course? Only time will tell.
