Benue Man's WAEC Certificate Found in Makurdi Dustbin, Appeals for Help to Locate Owner


A lost original WAEC certificate belonging to a Benue man, Itodo Emmanuel, has been found on the streets of Makurdi, Benue State.
 The certificate was discovered near a dustbin and has since gone viral after being shared on social media by the person who found it.

The good Samaritan, identified as Pst Raph Ochayi, posted the certificate on Facebook, urging his friends and followers to help locate the rightful owner. 

Ochayi mentioned in his post that the certificate was found discarded in Makurdi, prompting him to take swift action to find the owner.

The certificate indicates that Itodo Emmanuel, born on January 23, 1994, took the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in 2011 at Moro Memorial College in Okwungang, Ugbokolo, Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State.

 His academic performance was detailed on the certificate, showing a range of grades across various subjects: C4 in Christian Religious Knowledge (CRK), C6 in Economics, B3 in Geography, C5 in English Language, C6 in Mathematics, E8 in Agricultural Science, E8 in Biology, E8 in Chemistry, and B3 in Physics.

Pst Raph Ochayi appealed to the public: "Please share until it gets to the owner. This original WAEC certificate was seen on the road around a dustbin yesterday." 

His post has since garnered numerous shares and comments, as people join in the effort to reunite Itodo Emmanuel with his important academic document.

The incident has sparked discussions online about the importance of safeguarding vital documents and the role of social media in community support and information dissemination.

 Efforts are ongoing to contact Itodo Emmanuel and return his WAEC certificate to him.
