The Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, is set to welcome the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, to Benue State tomorrow, Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
The Vice President is expected to arrive in Makurdi, the state capital, around 10 a.m. for a one-day official visit.
During his stay, Vice President Shettima will inaugurate two significant projects: the Benue Fashion Hub and the Benue Printing House, both strategically located in the state capital.
This visit marks the Vice President's return to Benue following his recent participation in the inauguration of the Expanded National Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Clinics in Makurdi, under the theme “Benue Open for Business.
" During that visit, Shettima reaffirmed President Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to establishing a world-class fashion hub in Benue State as part of the administration’s broader agenda to create jobs and ensure accessible capital for Nigerians.
He emphasized that this initiative reflects the remarkable spirit of entrepreneurship that defines the people of Benue State. The fashion hub, he promised, would be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
Governor Alia has honored his commitment by providing the necessary land and infrastructure for the fashion hub, a move that underscores the state’s readiness to collaborate with the federal government on impactful projects.
Governor Alia extends an invitation to the public, especially the business community, stakeholders, and party loyalists, to join him in welcoming the Vice President to Benue State.
This visit is not just an administrative exercise but a celebration of Benue's economic potential and the federal government's support for local development.
