In the early hours of Friday, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited announced job vacancies for young Nigerians via its social media channels.
The announcement, which directed applicants to the NNPC website, stated: “WE ARE HIRING! Are you passionate about building an exciting career in NNPC Limited?” Minutes after the post went live, the NNPC website crashed due to the high volume of traffic.
NNPC emphasized that it will not be responsible for applications submitted on any other website and reiterated that it does not charge any fees for job application submissions.
