As Christians across Benue State join the global community to mark the 2025 Easter celebration, former Senator and Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders Council in Benue State, Chief Barnabas Gemade, has extended warm Easter wishes to the Executive Governor of Benue State, his administration, and all Christian faithful in the state.
In a heartfelt message delivered on behalf of his family and the APC Elders Forum, Senator Gemade encouraged Christians to reflect deeply on the true essence of Easter — sacrifice, love, peace, and unwavering faith in God.
"The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ remind us of the ultimate sacrifice made out of love and the hope it brings for a better future," he said.
As the Nom Iyange u Tiv, a traditional titleholder of high repute, Chief Gemade called on the people of Benue State to act in faith, show love to one another, and remain confident that by God's grace, the state will triumph over its current socioeconomic challenges.
“Easter teaches us to forgive, to hope again, and to pursue peace at all times. It is a time for spiritual renewal and for recommitting ourselves to the path of unity and collective development,” he added.
The elder statesman concluded his Easter message by wishing all residents of Benue State a peaceful, joyous, and memorable Easter celebration.
