President Tinubu Orders Arrest of Plateau Attackers

In response to recent violent attacks in Plateau State, President Bola Tinubu has directed security agencies to arrest and prosecute those responsible, assuring Nigerians of his administration’s commitment to national security.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the immediate arrest and prosecution of all individuals involved in the deadly attacks on communities in Plateau State.

This directive follows recent reports of violent clashes that led to the loss of lives and displacement of residents.

The President expressed deep condolences to the families of victims and to the government and people of Plateau State.

In a statement released on April 6, 2025, he reaffirmed that those who threaten the peace and unity of Nigeria would not go unpunished.

Tinubu also called on local communities to support security agencies by providing credible information that would lead to the capture of the attackers.

He emphasized that maintaining national peace and security requires collective efforts between government and the people.

Security operatives have since intensified surveillance across Plateau communities, with the aim of curbing further violence and restoring normalcy.

The federal government further assured state authorities of continued support in addressing security challenges and promoting peaceful coexistence in affected regions.
