Renowned Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, famously known as 2Face or 2Baba, turned heads on Wednesday as he made a high-profile appearance at the Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja.
The music legend arrived at the venue alongside his new partner, Natasha Osawaru, the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly and the lawmaker representing Egor Constituency.
Osawaru, who secured her seat under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been in the spotlight ever since her relationship with the singer became public.
The tribunal is currently deliberating on a petition filed by the PDP and its candidate, Asuerinme Ighodalo, challenging the election of Governor Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The ruling is expected to have major political implications in the state.
2Baba’s appearance at the tribunal comes just months after his high-profile separation from his wife, Annie Idibia, in January. Shortly after, in a move that shocked fans and trended across social media, he proposed to Natasha in February.
Since going public with their relationship, the pair have been spotted together frequently, attending social events and shopping outings. Natasha even made their bond more official by updating her Instagram bio to reflect 2Baba’s surname, Idibia.
As the legal battle over the Edo governorship election unfolds, all eyes remain on 2Baba and his new partner, whose relationship continues to make waves both in the entertainment and political spheres.
