Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan is no stranger to controversy, but her latest clash with Senate President Godswill Akpabio has not only sparked political debates it has also reignited public interest in her personal life.
Investigations by The Nation reveal that Natasha has four children from different relationships: a son from her first marriage, a boy and a girl from her second husband, and a son with her current husband, High Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan.
Her union with Uduaghan, a respected businessman and politician, has further strengthened her political ties in Delta State.
However, it is her bold stance in the Senate that has kept her in the headlines. In February 2024, Natasha refused to accept a new seating arrangement, escalating tensions with Akpabio.
She later accused him of targeting her for rejecting his alleged advances. The feud resulted in her six-month suspension, after which she took legal action against Akpabio, suing him for defamation and seeking support from international bodies like the UN and the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
Natasha’s accusations against powerful men are not new. A resurfaced 2021 video shows her alleging s+x¥al hara§§ment by former presidential aide Reno Omokri, who denied the claims, stating he was abroad at the time.
As public opinion remains divided, some hail her as a fearless woman challenging the establishment, while others question her credibility.
One thing is certain—Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan is a political force to be reckoned with, and her battles, both personal and political, are far from over.
