Breaking: Governor Hyacinth Alia Inaugurates Screening Committee on State Symbols, Tasks Members with Two-Week Deadline

In a significant move to enhance the identity of Benue State, Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia has inaugurated a 33-member Screening Committee on State Symbols, including Justice Utsaha as Chairman and Chief Solomon Iorpev as Secretary. 
The inauguration took place at the Old Banquet Hall of the Government House, Makurdi, signaling the government's commitment to redefining its flags, anthems, and coats of arms.

Governor Alia charged the committee with the critical task of delivering their recommendations within two weeks. 

He emphasized the importance of the state symbols as reflections of the state's heritage, unity, and pride.

 The Governor urged the team to approach the assignment with diligence, creativity, and a deep sense of responsibility.

The move is expected to solidify Benue's identity and align its state symbols with its cultural and historical significance.
