Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has officially signed the 2025 State Appropriation Bill into law, marking a critical step towards sustainable development in the state.
At a brief ceremony held on Monday at the Governor’s Office in Abere, Adeleke unveiled the ₦427.75 billion budget, aptly tagged the “Budget of Sustainable Growth and Transformation.”
The governor underscored the importance of robust implementation by state ministries, departments, and agencies to deliver tangible benefits to the people of Osun.
“For record purposes, the budget I am signing today is tagged ‘Budget of Sustainable Growth and Transformation.’
The total sum for the 2025 budget is Four Hundred and Twenty-Seven Billion, Seven Hundred and Forty-Six Million, Nine Hundred and Twenty-Five Thousand, One Hundred and Seventy Naira (₦427,746,925,170.00),” Adeleke stated.
He emphasized the need for commendable quarterly budget performance and tasked the Ministry of Economic Planning, Budget, and Development with monitoring the implementation to ensure targets are met.
Speaking at the event, the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Mr. Wale Egbedun, lauded Governor Adeleke’s dedication to the state’s progress and commended his commitment to transparency and growth-oriented governance.
This budget, Adeleke assured, is designed to address key development areas and transform the state’s socio-economic landscape in the coming year.
