Yerima Shettima, the National President of the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF), has made a passionate appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to implement policies that ease the economic burden on Nigerians.
Speaking in a public statement, Shettima emphasized the dire state of the economy and the need for immediate action to alleviate the suffering of the masses.
Shettima noted that while some government reforms, such as the removal of fuel subsidies, were necessary for economic stability, they had inadvertently worsened the living conditions of ordinary Nigerians.
He urged the Tinubu administration to prioritize policies that would provide relief and restore hope.
“Our people are struggling to survive under the weight of inflation, unemployment, and rising costs of living. We cannot continue this way.
The government must come up with policies that will allow Nigerians to breathe,” Shettima said.
The AYCF leader called for investments in agriculture, small businesses, and social welfare programs, which he described as essential to driving sustainable economic growth and empowering citizens.
He also stressed the need for transparency and accountability in governance to rebuild public trust.
This call to action has resonated with many Nigerians, who are grappling with the harsh realities of the current economic climate.
With growing pressure from civil society and economic stakeholders, all eyes are on President Tinubu to unveil reforms that will bring much-needed relief to the nation.
