Nasarawa State Set for Local Government Elections on November 2

In a significant step toward strengthening grassroots democracy, the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission (NASIEC) has confirmed its readiness to conduct local government elections across the state’s 13 local government areas on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
NASIEC, in a recent statement, assured residents that all necessary logistics, security measures, and electoral materials have been put in place to ensure a smooth and credible election process.

The upcoming elections are expected to be highly competitive, with various political parties vying for key local government positions, including chairmanship and councilor roles.

With anticipation building, the elections will serve as a crucial indicator of the political temperature in the state ahead of future state and national contests.

Residents are encouraged to exercise their civic duty by turning out in large numbers to cast their votes and have a say in the development of their local communities.
