Bauchi, Nigeria – Sa’adu Zungur University, Bauchi State's prestigious higher education institution, has officially debunked claims that 30 of its PhD lecturers have resigned en masse.
The university’s management swiftly responded to growing rumors circulating on social media and some news outlets, firmly rejecting the allegations.
In a public statement released by the university, the administration clarified that not a single academic staff member had resigned.
"These rumors are entirely baseless," said a representative from the university's management.
"Our faculty remains fully intact, and we continue to deliver quality education to our students."
The rumor sparked concerns among students and parents, who feared that the alleged resignation of such a large number of dons could disrupt academic activities.
However, the university assured all stakeholders that the claims were unfounded and aimed at discrediting the institution.
"Such misinformation threatens the integrity of our academic environment," the representative added, stressing the university’s commitment to transparency and continuous improvement.
Sa’adu Zungur University also urged the public to verify information before believing or spreading it further, calling on responsible journalism and fact-checking.
Despite the wave of speculation, classes at the university are ongoing without interruption, and the management remains focused on upcoming academic plans and developments.
