Abuja Building Collapse, FCT Police Confirm Rescue of Five Persons

In a tragic turn of events in Abuja, a building collapse at Vidaz Estate in Sabon Lugbe Extension has led to a massive rescue operation.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command confirmed that five individuals have been successfully pulled from the rubble as of this morning.

According to police spokesperson ASP Josephine Adeh, the rescue mission began shortly after the structure caved in late last night.

Emergency responders, including firefighters, police officers, and medical personnel, worked tirelessly throughout the night to ensure the safety of those trapped within the debris.

Preliminary reports indicate that structural weaknesses may have contributed to the collapse, although authorities are yet to establish the exact cause.

The incident has raised significant concerns over building safety standards in the area.

Residents of the surrounding community expressed their shock and fear, with many calling for stricter oversight and enforcement of building regulations.

While five people have been rescued, the search operation continues as authorities fear others might still be trapped.
