As the Edo State gubernatorial elections unfold, early results from Etsako Central Local Government Area are giving a clearer picture of voter preferences.
With 59,430 registered voters in the area, 21,465 of them were accredited, signaling a decent turnout for the 2024 governorship election.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) is currently in the lead, pulling ahead with 11,906 vote
The People's Democratic Party (PDP) follows closely behind, securing 8,455 votes. Meanwhile, the Labour Party (LP) has so far managed only 381 votes, marking a much smaller impact in this region.
The total number of valid votes counted so far stands at 20,851, with 294 rejected votes, bringing the overall total to 21,145 votes cast.
