The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has issued a one-month ultimatum to traders and market stakeholders engaged in exploitative pricing, demanding that they reduce the prices of goods.
The announcement was made by Mr. Tunji Bello, the newly appointed Executive Vice Chairman of the FCCPC, during a stakeholders' engagement on exploitative pricing held in Abuja on Thursday.
Bello warned that enforcement actions would commence immediately after the moratorium period ends. The meeting was called to address the rising trend of unreasonable pricing of consumer goods and services and the unethical practices of market associations.
