Over 100 Nigerians Return from Turkey Amid Controversy

In a dramatic return, 103 Nigerians arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Friday, following their deportation from Turkey.
Touching down at 6:45 PM on a Southwind Airlines flight, the group was met by a host of government agencies, including the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

Reports suggest that the reasons behind their deportation remain unclear, with many of the deportees expressing anger and frustration. They claimed they were unjustly detained for over 11 months in Turkey, calling on the Nigerian government to intervene and help them reclaim their lost valuables. The emotional scene at the airport highlighted their call for justice and support from their homeland.
