The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), while announcing the withholding of 39,834 results due to suspected examination malpractices.
The Registrar of JAMB, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, made the announcement on Friday during a press briefing at the board’s headquarters in Bwari, Abuja.
Oloyede revealed that the withheld results are currently under investigation, pending the outcome of further scrutiny. He emphasized that JAMB remains committed to upholding the integrity of the examination process and ensuring that only credible results are released.
“In line with our zero-tolerance policy for examination malpractice, 39,834 results have been withheld,” Oloyede stated. “We are also investigating about 80 individuals for various infractions during the conduct of the UTME.”
According to the JAMB registrar, Anambra State recorded the highest number of suspects being investigated for exam-related offences. He further noted that the board will ensure due diligence is followed and that anyone found guilty will face appropriate sanctions.
While the majority of candidates can now check their results via the official JAMB portal, those whose results were withheld will have to wait for the conclusion of the investigations.
Further updates are expected in the coming days as the examination board continues its review and verification process.
